Who We Serve
We work with two kinds of clients. You're probably one of them.
We intentionally focus on people close to or already in retirement, not because other stages don't matter, but because this stage requires a genuinely different kind of planning.
Stage One
Up to 5 Years From Retirement
This window matters more than any other. You still have time to make changes, but not unlimited time. Decisions made now, like when to claim Social Security, how much risk to carry, and how income will actually be sequenced, compound for the rest of your retirement.
Common questions we help answer:
Stage Two
Already Retired
Once you're retired, the plan doesn't stop, it shifts. Now it's about managing withdrawals, required minimum distributions, taxes, and healthcare costs in real time, while making sure your legacy wishes are actually reflected in your accounts.
Common questions we help answer:
Why This Focus
Why we don't try to serve everyone.
Retirement income planning is a specialty, not a feature. Working exclusively with this stage of life means we're not splitting our attention across accumulation-stage investing, business planning, or unrelated specialties.
Sequence of returns risk
A downturn in your first years of retirement can permanently damage a portfolio in a way the same downturn wouldn't during your working years. We plan around this directly.
Fixed-income complexity
Social Security timing, pensions, RMDs, and Medicare premiums all interact with each other. Getting the sequencing right takes specialized, current knowledge.
No more paychecks
Once income stops, mistakes are harder to recover from. Plans built for this stage have to be built more conservatively, and more precisely.
Wherever you are in this window, we can help you see the full picture.
